Lambert-Closse School – Securing Access, Upgrading Infrastructure

Project Description

Lambert-Closse School is undergoing a major infrastructure upgrade to improve emergency exit systems and modernize all electrical installations, in full compliance with fire safety codes and CSSDM standards.

The project includes the complete reconstruction of exterior stairwells, optimization of exit corridors and access points, and a full overhaul of the electrical network. This includes new lighting, alarm systems, electrical panels, emergency signage, and intercoms — all designed to enhance the school’s safety, reliability, and energy efficiency.

Challenge

This mandate involves several key challenges:

• Extremely tight deadlines, requiring a fast-paced execution with no compromise on safety or quality.

• Active school environment, where access and noise must be carefully managed to avoid disrupting students and staff.

• Seamless transition between legacy and new electrical systems, ensuring uninterrupted operations.

• Precise integration of advanced safety technologies, including fire detection, emergency lighting, and access control.

• Complex coordination between trades, including structural, electrical, and fire protection specialists.
