Project Description
Located in Laval, the Monod Residences are undergoing a large-scale renovation project aimed at modernizing living spaces and improving the building’s energy performance. This major transformation includes the complete overhaul of kitchens, bathrooms, and plumbing systems in every unit, alongside key structural and environmental upgrades.
Common areas — including hallways, lobbies, and shared spaces — are also being reconfigured to enhance both functionality and residents’ quality of life.
Challenge
The project is being executed in multiple phases over an estimated 24-month timeline. This phased approach demands precise planning to minimize disruption for current residents. A significant challenge lies in the safe removal of hazardous materials such as asbestos and level 3 mold, in strict compliance with current health and safety standards. Additionally, integrating energy-efficient systems into an existing structure requires tight coordination between site teams and specialized engineers.
